Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Line Cook to join our culinary team at Beverly's Restaurant. The Lead Line Cook will play a pivotal role in ensuring the consistent delivery of top-quality dishes that exceed our guests' expectations. This individual will demonstrate strong leadership abilities, exceptional culinary talent, and a passion for creating exceptional dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the kitchen's line cooking stations.
  • Supervise and mentor line cooks, ensuring adherence to recipes, cooking techniques, and presentation standards.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to develop new menu items and refine existing dishes.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and stock rotation to maintain optimal levels of freshness and quality.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and sanitation standards.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in a variety of cooking techniques, including grilling, sautéing, roasting, and frying.
  • Monitor food quality throughout the cooking process, making adjustments as necessary to uphold standards.
  • Uphold a clean and organized kitchen environment, promoting efficiency and productivity.
  • Exhibit strong leadership skills, fostering a positive and collaborative work culture among kitchen staff.
  • Assist in training new team members and promoting professional development within the kitchen team.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Line Cook or similar role in a high-end restaurant or fine dining establishment.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent certification from a recognized culinary institution is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, flavor profiles, and ingredient combinations.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional leadership abilities, with a track record of effectively managing a team of culinary professionals.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Commitment to upholding the highest standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation.

  • Full Time Employees are offered these benefits first of the month following 60 days of employment
  • Must maintain a minimum of 30 hours per week or more.
  • Variable hour team members could be eligible 12 months after their date of hire, with supervisor approval, so long as they have averaged 30+ hours per week throughout their first year.

401K Plan:

Holiday Pay:

  • Hourly team members who work on Thanksgiving and Christmas will be paid their wage at time and a half.
